Do you have the infrastructure to ensure a safe and secure environment for my critical hardware requirements?
Telehouse Europe has more experience than any other neutral data centre facility in Europe in the supply of the optimal operating conditions for its customer’s equipment. Our specialist facilities management includes multiple external power feeds and 24x7x365 environmental monitoring, supported by UPS and generator back-up. Telehouse’s security is unsurpassed, with systems-controlled access and front-line security staff, perimeter intrusion detection equipment and CCTV, among several protection measures.
Are you a true neutral data centre/colocation provider?
Telehouse Europe is a neutral point of interconnect and a major hub for all major telecoms in Internet Service Providers in the UK and France. Corporate clients are under no obligation to purchase these services from Telehouse. The total freedom to choose from a wide variety of carriers, and the elimination of connection equipment expenses are two of the tangible benefits that carrier neutrality delivers.
Do you have a credible track record of success and a visible programme of ongoing infrastructure investment?
Investment in highest quality infrastructure and skilled engineering personnel is central to the Telehouse philosophy of continuous operation. By 2006, Telehouse had made £151.4 million cumulative investment in its facilities. Recent improvements include the £3.3 million investment in the 2,000m2 Paris Voltaire site and the modification of 720m2 of ex-leased space with higher power and cooling capabilities at London Docklands.
Do you have the trained staff to ensure first class service levels, whether for routine management or in response to an emergency?
Telehouse Europe’s engineers are directly employed by Telehouse and we are committed to their ongoing development. All are trained to ICND level on Cisco products and a number have also achieved CCNA certification. We deploy a permanent round-the-clock engineering presence at our data centres, on hand to respond to client queries by phone, email or site visits in person by authorised client personnel. Additionally, Telehouse is fully certified over all activities across all four data centre locations in London and Paris for ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management) and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 (Information Security Management).
If I install my equipment at Telehouse Europe, will I be under any obligation to purchase my telecommunications services from you?
You are under no obligation to purchase your telecommunications services or any other additional service or hardware. Clients of a neutral and independent company like ours include a large number of telecommunications operators and Internet Service Providers. As a client of Telehouse Europe, you are free to choose the operator of your choice according to your requirements, budget and strategy.
We employ our own technical support staff. Would they be able to maintain our equipment on your premises?
Telehouse offers several service level agreements to meet any number of customer requirements. However, should you wish to service your own equipment you may nominate staff that would be granted the necessary access permissions to enable them to maintain your equipment any time of the day.
My company requires a link to the Internet. Can you help us?
We offer a service called ServerSocket, which is a type of ‘plug and go’ Internet connection. Each client has a scalable Internet bandwidth connection, ranging from 0.5Mbps through to 100Mbps using BGP platform, and is also provided with a full Domain Name Service (DNS) run by Telehouse, to avoid all the difficulties that can arise from either moving or setting up new domains.
