At Telehouse, we keep our sustainability commitments at the forefront of our planning.

We constantly strive to adopt the highest standards to drive energy efficiency, foster green procurement, ensure effective resource management and reduce our carbon footprint.

Our comprehensive ESG plan details the necessary controls, audits and leadership needed to ensure its efficacy.

Our Environmental Commitments

We are committed to our targets to reduce direct, indirect and supply chain emissions to enable a low-carbon future.

We aim to be 100% carbon neutral by 2030 based on our operational emissions (GHG Scope 1 and 2).

We continue to maintain our ISO certifications for all existing and new data centres.

We report on the performance of our sites to set carbon emissions reduction targets.

We design, build, and operate data centres aimed at reducing consumption of resources.

We are committed to purchasing 100% renewable energy to power our existing and new data centres until at least 2030.

Environmental – Progress to date

We hold internationally recognised certifications to measure our environmental impact, and drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency.

We are compliant with the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and actively report emissions data as required by the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) regulations.

We joined the Climate Change Agreement CCA in 2014. Since 2021, our London Docklands data centres have been classified as ultra-low emitters of fuel carbon.

We monitor energy performance through our DCIM systems to identify areas where efficiency can be improved and to better optimise infrastructure based on external weather conditions.

We deployed EkkoSense’s EkkoSoft Critical 3D platform for real-time operational visibility, to minimise cooling energy usage and remove thermal risk at our Telehouse North data centre.

We define carbon emissions targets and review emissions (direct, indirect and supply chain sources) to develop short and long-term commitments aligned by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
