M&E Supervisor

JOB OVERVIEW

Maintain M&E aspects of our Data Centres (e.g. power systems) to standards we can all be proud of, enhancing M&E systems in line with industry best practice, legislation and relevant ISO standards, ensuring energy efficiency and that they meet colleague and customer expectations.

Oversee relevant suppliers in the delivery of M&E-related works to ensure they meet their obligations, escalating significant performance issues to the Senior Data Centre Manager where necessary.

 

Main Duties, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinate with contractors for designated engineering projects, reviewing risk assessments and method statements
  • Supervise small M&E works installation, check quality and sign off completed works by contractors
  • Ensure prompt documentation and resolution of M&E related incidents, with clear communication to the service desk on the nature of the customer impact
  • Ensure maintenance of building systems meet required standards, regulations and health and safety requirements
  • Support the commissioning, organising and assessment of contractor work
  • Provide technical operational information and support to external parties in the preparation of works
  • Carry out audits and condition surveys, using findings to input to Data Centre programme of planned works
  • Support customer audits and the supply of all required evidence of compliance where required
  • Follow procurement processes for works within remit and manage budget and financial control of designated works

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous Data Centre experience
  • Significant HVAC experience
  • Extensive experience with BMS
  • Formal qualification(s) in related engineering subjects
  • Knowledge of project management processes
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial governance
  • Good knowledge of compliance and various standards, and evidence of previous achievement in this area
