Operational Technology Product Owner

JOB OVERVIEW

Lead the development, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of Operational Technology (OT) systems across our buildings.

Work in alignment with the Telehouse Enterprise Architect to bridge the gap between operational engineering teams and digital product development, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

 

Main Duties, including but not limited to:

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for OT systems (e.g. BMS, DCIM, SCADA, access control, energy monitoring)
  • Engage with stakeholders across Engineering, DC Operations, IT and Construction to translate their requirements into scalable OT product solutions
  • Manage supplier relationships, working with procurement to negotiate contracts and SLAs where appropriate
  • Work with suppliers to design, deploy, and optimise OT solutions aligned with operational reliability, sustainability, and compliance standards
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle from concept through procurement, pilot, deployment, and BAU transition
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture to ensure OT systems meet regulatory & corporate security requirements
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to shape product strategy and innovation
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product performance, value delivery, and operational impact
  • Act as a subject matter expert for OT within product governance forums

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Technical Lead in operational technology
  • Strong understanding of OT systems such as BMS, SCADA, PLCs, DCIM
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Experience managing third-party vendors
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in OT/ICS environments (e.g. NIS2, IEC 62443)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
    Experience in data centre environments or large-scale mission-critical facilities
