Procurement Manager – Indirect

JOB OVERVIEW

Strategically manage Indirect sourcing, negotiation, and ensure effective supplier relationship management to drive cost-effective, compliant, and reliable procurement of goods and services that support business operations.

 

Main Duties, including but not limited to:

  • Lead the procurement and contract management of indirect spend category (e.g. Cloud and professional services), ensuring value for money and risk mitigation
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business needs, market trends and cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards
  • Own and maintain supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, SLAs, and renewal timelines
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, understanding requirements and providing expert procurement support to enable strategic decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement and innovation and identify prospective future suppliers
  • Identify and realise cost reduction, risk mitigation, and value-creation opportunities across the supplier base
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards
  • Support procurement reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities related to indirect spend
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement processes, tools, and templates

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing indirect procurement categories, especially Cloud services
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and supplier negotiation techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFPs, supplier selection,contract negotiation, and performance management
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing supplier contracts, with attention to risk, compliance, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer) and procurement reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess cost models, total cost of ownership, and supplier performance data
  • Knowledge of procurement governance, policies, and best practices including sustainability and ethical sourcing standards
