Job Overview

We’re looking for a talented Associate Solution Architect to join our growing IT and Data team during an exciting period of digital transformation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in shaping solution design across a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment.

Working closely with senior leadership and technical teams, you’ll translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions, helping drive innovation and align technology with strategic business goals.

 

Key tasks:

  • Design and deliver high- and low-level solution architectures, including integration diagrams and impact assessments
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solution options (A/B/C scenarios)
  • Conduct vendor evaluations (RFx), challenge proposals, and support commercial decisions
  • Ensure all designs meet security, compliance, performance, and recoverability requirements.
  • Maintain architecture documentation including system views, data flows, and design patterns
  • Support governance processes by preparing materials for architecture review boards
  • Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and IT teams to define technical requirements and ensure the architecture supports business objectives.
  • Vendor negotiation, SoW review, coordinate with legal teams for MSA and T&Cs where necessary.
  • Assist project delivery with design handovers, non-functional requirements, and release planning

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in solution design, systems engineering, or technical analysis
  • Strong understanding of cloud (Azure/AWS) and on-prem technologies
  • Experience producing solution designs, integration maps, and cost/ risk analyses
  • Exposure to vendor engagement (e.g., reviewing SoWs, estimates, and proposals)
  • Knowledge of security principles, IAM, and data protection
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Experience in data centre or operational technology environments (Desirable)
  • Exposure to enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle ERP) (Desirable)
