Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist to support the company’s governance, risk and compliance activities by providing a high level of support to senior managers.

You will be responsible for leading the internal audit programme for ISO certified standards, ensuring the organisation maintains its ISO certifications and driving continuous improvement. While supporting the Director of Risk & Compliance, this role might cover multiple UK & EU data centre sites and associated corporate reporting obligations.

About you

You will be methodical, collaborative and confident working with people at all levels. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, presenting clear insights, and helping colleagues understand and manage risk in a practical way. You will bring a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to accuracy, compliance and ethical standards.

 

Key tasks:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior managers within the compliance, risk and governance functions
  • Deliver expert insights, analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision making
  • Contribute to departmental planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and manage the internal audit programme across all certified ISO standards, including ISO 9001, 27001, 22301, 45001, 14001 and 50001
  • Ensure audit schedules, methodologies and reporting meet certification and regulatory expectations
  • Monitor audit findings, corrective actions and improvement opportunities are implemented
  • Liaise with external auditors and certification bodies as required
  • Promote a strong risk culture through training, workshops and awareness sessions across the organisation
  • Provide coaching and guidance to risk owners and managers
  • Highlight emerging risks, trends, control issues and areas requiring attention

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a compliance, risk, audit or governance role, ideally within a regulated or ISO certified environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO management system standards, particularly ISO 9001, 27001, 22301, 45001, 14001 and 50001.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting internal audits and managing audit programmes.
  • Hands on experience with risk management frameworks, risk registers and risk reporting.
