Telehouse Europe set for future growth with new MD

Telehouse Europe, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of secure colocation and data centre facilities, today announced the appointment of Takeo Miura as managing director.

Mr Miura, who joins from Telehouse’s Japanese parent company KDDI, will be responsible for Telehouse’s future strategy as he looks to increase growth and profitability for the region. Based in London, Miura heads the board of six directors and will report into Masaaki Nakanishi, chief operating officer for Global Business at KDDI.

Miura has more than 25 years experience with KDDI. He has held a variety of roles across the business including the position of general manager for KDDI’s carrier business during which time he developed business relationships with over 300 carriers worldwide. Miura also spent four years as deputy director at KDDI’s Washington DC office. For the last year he has been the general manager of KDDI’s marketing function, overseeing marketing and sales promotion to meet enterprises’ transnational data requirements. Speaking about his new position, Miura said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of ensuring Telehouse is set on a path that will allow future growth in the UK and France. The Telehouse Europe management team is strong and through sharing of experience I believe together we can drive the business forward and further increase profits.”

Miura, a native Japanese speaker, holds a BA (Hons) in Ecominics from Tokyo University. He also speaks fluent English and has recently relocated to the UK.
