Our Social Goals

Recognising our responsibility to people and communities, we have established a primary goal centred on our social impact:

To improve our positive impact on our people, the workplace, and wider community, we will continue to serve and support the community by:

• supporting local charities
• funding local employment schemes
• providing work experience
• managing the environmental impact of our activities.

Where We Are Today

Significant strides have been made in fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment while actively contributing to the well-being of our employees and the broader community.

Commitment to our employees

Our dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion permeates every facet of our business activities, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees. We prioritise the integration of company values into our operations, onboarding, and training processes, with leadership setting the example for our workforce to follow.

We are committed to adhering to modern slavery laws, ensuring that our operations and supply chains are free from any form of forced labour, human trafficking, and exploitation. Within our own organisation, members of our team from all levels meet to discuss how we can ensure and promote inclusion.

Central to our social initiatives is the mental, physical and financial well-being of our employees, with a comprehensive benefits programme encompassing private health care, WeCare 24/7 online GP, mental health and virtual well-being support services, discounted gym membership, Cycle to Work scheme, Drive a Better Car scheme and more.

We maintain the highest standards in health and safety management, striving for zero accidents and compliance with ISO 45001:2018 standards.

How we serve our community

Additionally, Telehouse plays an integral role in the Tower Hamlets borough of London, where our UK operations are located. Here, we actively contribute to the local community by funding employment schemes, offering work experience opportunities, and providing community activities, all while managing our environmental impact to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.

Improve our positive impact on our people, the workplace, and wider community. We will continue to serve and support the community in which we operate, for example by supporting local charities, funding local employment schemes, and providing work experience, all while managing the environmental impact of our activities.

In May 2023, Telehouse nearly doubled maternity and adoption leave to 26 weeks at full pay while also increasing paternity leave from two weeks at full pay.

We continue to strive to better understand the voice of employees by undertaking regular employee satisfaction surveys and offering multiple forums for team members to provide ongoing feedback.

People

We are building a high-performance culture to make sure Telehouse is a place where everyone can be themselves and be their best is critical to reshaping Telehouse for growth.

Long-standing commitment to employability programmes supports young people to gain access to vital work experience and training in the workplace.

The launch of the first colleague-led network, "Women in Telehouse", designed to bring diverse communities together and elevate the importance of women to the business.

Prioritisation of career development, ensuring career aspirations are understood and supported to identify next steps for professional advancement.

Community

To increase our community impact, we reset our Community Strategy in 2023/24, launching our new ESG Champions, a colleague-led group working in partnership with our local communities and reshaping our existing programmes and partnerships.

Telehouse proudly supports two local charities through dedicated fundraising efforts, including recycling old copper from refurbishments and donating £15,000 each to First Love Foundation and Leaders in Community. Moreover, our recent donation of 40 laptops to local charities in Tower Hamlets demonstrates our commitment to empowering the communities in which we operate.

Inspiring the next generation

At Telehouse, we aim to inspire the next generation of talent by hosting tours and educational sessions for schools, colleges, and universities, increasing awareness of data centres and cultivating interest in the industry among young learners. Through these ongoing initiatives, we remain dedicated to driving positive social change and creating a brighter future for all.
