Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our busy, client-side team. The role will be responsible for delivering full cycle data centre construction and engineering projects, planning, coordinating and controlling to ensure safe and timely delivery, within budget and to the required standard.

This on-site, East London based role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and requires a proactive, organised and commercially aware approach.

 

Key tasks:

  • To plan, manage and deliver BAU engineering and construction projects (up to £5m)
  • To develop and manage detailed project programmes, budgets and risk registers
  • To coordinate due diligence surveys and project briefs
  • To oversee design development, procurement and contractor performance
  • To manage project change control, contract administration and cost monitoring
  • To organise and chair project meetings, producing clear progress and status reports
  • To manage testing, commissioning, practical completion and defects periods
  • To ensure smooth handover to operational teams, including documentation and training

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification (Desired)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (Desired)
  • Strong experience managing projects in data centre or mission-critical environments (Essential)
  • Proven project management and technical competence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and costs
  • Highly organised with a proactive and problem-solving approach
