About Telehouse Shanghai Jinqiao:

Telehouse Shanghai Jinqiao is a brand new data centre facility located in the Pudong New Area, home to the illustrious Finance and Trade Zone.

The Tier 3+ carrier neutral facility provides 5,800m2 of customer colocation space within a 12,950m2 six-floor data centre site. Designed for the highly demanding financial institutions and mission-critical multinationals emerging in China guaranteeing 99.999% power supply.

Telehouse Shanghai has implemented a comprehensive security system comprising of facial recognition, X-ray inspections and an advanced building management system. 

Data Centre Infrastructure:

• Rack colocation - customers equipment is installed in a 19-inch individually locked cabinet
• Caged colocation service - customers requiring high security for medium-sized sever farms and mission-critical systems
• Open space colocation service - space for customers to set up their own rack 

Data Centre Specifications:


• Standard Power to rack from 3kW to 5kW with high density hosting options
• 35KV, 16000 KVA X 2 from 2 different power stations

• Diesel generators, 9+1 with 2250 KVA each, with 36 hours reserved full load and buffer tank  
• N+1 generators with long-time running capability 

• UPS system with 2N, PDU-STS dual provision with backup UPS 

• UPS support 15 min supply at full load 

• No critical power failure in the last 2 years

• PUE at 1.8, Schneider 530 deployed to monitor power quality

Environment and Air Conditioning:

• Adoption of eco-friendly air conditioning system achieving high efficiency 

• Redundancy of data centre air conditioning unit at N+20%
• 2 Loop Lines - Dual For cool/hot water system
• Optimised air-conditioning according to the status of cabinet

• Water cooling redundancy at N+1

• Cold water tanks for air-conditioning in case of emergency

• Heat insulation plate around the building and free cooling operation in winter
• Temp and Humidity: 22˚C ± 2˚C/ 20˚C ± 2˚C and relative humidity 55% ± 10%

• Leak detection system installed throughout 


• Carrier neutral facility providing access to major Chinese telecom providers incl. China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom and SDS with multiple routes
• Two meet me rooms providing interconnection to colocation areas with structured cabling



• Supported languages: Chinese, English and Japanese
• 24hr x 365 days operation and maintenance by KDDI Shanghai NOC

• Managed services include remote hands, restoration support, proactive monitoring and reporting services
• Access to data center management system to see real time status of rack electricity consumption and arrange visitor access
