Emerging demands on IT infrastructure

Increasing security and compliance demands are prompting organisations to invest more in digital infrastructure.

Our new Vision for Digital Infrastructure in 2030 Report, surveyed 250 IT decision-makers across various UK industries and the third chapter explores emerging demands on digital infrastructure.

We found that:

  • Three in ten IT decision-makers (30%) will still be concerned about maintaining security and compliance in 2030
  • More and more organisations are turning to colocation to strengthen their security and compliance
  • 33% of respondents from 2020 survey said security and compliance was the key driver behind their decision to collocate
  • In 2023, that number has increased by twenty-one percentage points to 54%.

Gain insights into how to identify and navigate the emerging demands on digital infrastructure, (including the need to achieve enhanced security and compliance), together with the reasons why many organisations see value in implementing colocation.
